Kris Kringle Christmas Market and Holiday Trails in Charles County
December 9th-11th, fees vary see link for details
8 Historic Houses, 3 Historic Churches, Kris Kringle Christmas Market will be decorated for the holidays for the fun event! 

Colonial Christmas: Thomas Stone National Historic Site 
Dec. 10th, 4-7 pmm
Thomas Stone's house, Haberdeventure, will be decorated for the holidays. At dusk, the park will be illuminated by lanterns. Tours will be given of the house and a special night sky astronomy program will be presented.

Winter Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park (PG County)
Friday, November 25- Jan.  1, 2017  5-9:30 pm 
Cash only! Car/Van $5, Multi visit pass $15, Free December 5th and Christmas Day
This spectacular holiday drive-through event features more than one million twinkling lights, wonderful themed displays, and one of the tallest tree displays in the state!

Flat Iron Farms Christmas Village (St. Mary's) 
Open now til Dec 31: Nightly, 5PM - 9PM, indoor hours vary
Candy Cane House Petting Zoo, Manger Scene Train and Tree Display Christmas Country Stores Handmade crafts, unique gifts and gifts are available for purchase. See the large working train display. Visit the Workshop and see Santa (Call for schedule).

Dec. 1– Dec. 3, 2016
A fun-filled time of special children’s activities, a live puppet show, open house at many of our businesses, Lighted Boat Parade will be held at 6:15 pm Saturday, December 3rd. Stroll through luminaria streets as you enjoy the sights and the sounds of the season.

Holiday & Georgetown GLOW
December 2nd -January 2nd; FREE Admission 
The 2016 Georgetown GLOW invites visitors to re-imagine the season of light through outdoor public art.  Now in its third year, 2016's Georgetown GLOW is expanding from a 10-night to a month-long exhibition running from Friday, December 2 through Sunday, January 1, with works lit from 6 – 10 p.m. nightly. 

Annual Festival of Lights Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center
Beginning December 1st, the Festival features free performances nightly in the comfortable, state-of-the-art theater located in the Visitors' Center. A different performing artist or group is showcased each night, including bell ensembles, choirs, orchestras, and more! Each performance is presented twice nightly. Temple grounds glow with over 650,000 lights, December 1st through January 1st

ZooLights at the National Zoo
Friday, November 25-January 1, 2017; 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
FREE! No tickets are required, parking is $22 with extras happening during the evening. But you can see the exhibit buildings and nocturnal critters! The Small Mammal House, Great Ape House, Reptile Discovery Center, Think Tank, and Kids' Farm. Every Saturday night a complimentary shuttle ride from the Woodley Park Metro station to the Zoo will be provided. Click link above for more details.
