A Win-Win for Parents and Kids!
The Drop Zone Drop-In Child Care Center is Charles County’s newest licensed child care center. Drop-in child care is care provided on an occasional, intermittent basis. Children can be in care for up to 4 hours at a time. Parents pay by the hour or have the option of pre-paying for hours in advance.
The Drop Zone Drop-In Child Care Center is centrally located close to everything in Waldorf! Located in the Shoppers World Shopping Center (Bed, Bath and Beyond, BAM!, Sports Authority), The Drop Zone is convenient for parents who may want to drop their children off to run errands, enjoy a night out, or even go to the gym. All new families receive an hour free on at least a two hour stay, military families receive a special discount every day, and the referral program comes with a pretty good reward as well!
The Drop Zone recognizes the need for such a service, but also as a community resource. The Drop Zone will be implementing “The Will to Work Program” for unemployed parents who need child care while interviewing for jobs.
The Drop Zone has an excellent staff that are all qualified to provide quality care to the children while their parents are away. Children will enjoy a combination of supervised open play, as well as staff led activities such as arts and crafts, games, and story time. Children who visit the center can be between the ages of 2-12. The Drop Zone is open 7 days a week with long hours that parallel most retail stores so you don’t have to rush and leave the mall-- actually you can grab a bite to eat before you come back and get them!
