January 22, 2016 ORIENTEERING – The participants will use their physical and mental skills, along with map and compass, to navigate the rolling hills of Hard Bargain Farm.

April 22, 2016 MYSTERY BOX – The participants will receive a mystery box with instructions to complete a challenge utilizing all the supplies in the box.

Natural History Museum Q?rius School Programs (D.C.)
Q?rius school programs are available onsite for Grades 6-12. We offer six school programs onsite on weekdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., from October through June. For students nationwide, we offer the Smithsonian Science How webcasts. We also offer programs in Q?rius jr. for students in Grades K-8.

Maryland Science Center* (Baltimore)
The Maryland Science Center will once again offer winter home school programming in the month of January. Winter home school classes, films, and projects return for the weeks of January 5th and January 12th (running Tuesday-Friday). Plus, basic admission to our exhibit halls is free for all participating in these programs that day with a prepaid registration.

Registration for winter home school opens on Tuesday, December 8.  Schedules and pricing, as well as information on class topics, film titles, planetarium presentations and other home school opportunities will be posted here in the beginning of December. Pre-registration is required and classes do fill up.

Maryland Zoo* (Baltimore)
Did you know the Maryland Zoo has FREE admission for pre-registered Maryland school groups? See the details in the “FREE Field Trip” description online. (Every 4 students get 1 free adult chaperon)

Port Discovery Home School Fridays*
(Baltimore)
Port Discovery offers interactive exhibits and educational enrichment programs. Group discounts are available year round. Individual discounts are offered two to three times a year and usually run in the fall, winter, and spring. 

All registrants must preregister. Groups pay a deposit of $75.00 to register. Individuals are expected to pay in full.

First and Third Mondays of the Month (October, November, and December)
Second and Fourth Mondays of the Month (January and February)

Grades 6-12 meet from 10:30–11:30 a.m.

$8.00, chaperones attend free
This Homeschool Day includes open hearth cooking and interactive tours. Payment is required by September 9th.

Southern Maryland Paintball
Weekday events happen for groups at Southern Maryland Paintball. Celebrate the semester/end of year.  Let the kids & teachers do something different, together.
