The Charles County Fair Board will be presenting a new and improved Fourth of July Fireworks demonstration brought to you by Innovative Pyrotechnic. Free Admission!
- The gates open at 4:00 pm.

Town of Indian Head 4th of July Celebration July 4th; Free
Limited general parking around the Village Green. Handicapped parking available in the Village Green Lot. Ticket booth closes promptly at 7:15pm but remains open for emergencies/lost & found only. Only members can enter the event, but others can see from the road while parked! Be safe, the road gets full fast!
Town of La Plata Watermelon Bash July 4th; Free
Celebrate the 4th of July at Town Hall! 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Join for water slides, hot dogs, and plenty of watermelons.
Thomas Stone National Historic Site; July 4th; Free
Spend your Fourth of July morning at Thomas Stone National Historic Site and celebrate our nation's 243rd birthday at the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence! Sing patriotic songs, listen to inspirational presentations about the Founders, pledge your allegiance to the flag, watch a wreath laying ceremony, complete Junior Ranger activities, see exhibits on the American Revolution, and just have fun!

4th of July at Smallwood Retreat House
If you haven't decided what to do July 4 afternoon, why not stop by the CCASM booth at Smallwood Retreat. CCASM will be there from 12-4 with displays and an "Independence Day" activity. General Smallwood (First Person Interpretation) will be in attendance. There will also be live Colonial American period music, children's crafts, herb garden and house tours and a few other activities. This event was given to me directly in an email from Charles County Archaeological Society of Maryland
All American Swim July 4th
Go to the pool wearing red, white, or blue and pay only $2 for admission at any of the Charles County Parks and Recreation pool locations. Noon- 5 pm at all county pools!

2nd Annual Firework Show at Running Hare Vineyard June 29th, 6-10 pm
Run Catch Rain will be playing live on our outdoor stage from 6-8:30 p.m. and summer favorites will be served from Sassafrass Farm, Spider Hall Farm, The Hungry Hare, Pizza Di Vigna, and Dilbert's Dogs. We will also have fun craft vendors to shop at too! No tastings for the event.
- Gates open at 5:30 and fireworks will begin around 9 p.m.
- This year we also have TWO different tickets available for you.
- Any person UNDER 21 is free.
General Admission, $9 per person: - Outside and lawn seats to the show

Chesapeake Beach Fireworks Extravaganza at dusk over the Bay. Rain date July 5th. Kellam’s Field will be open for Fireworks viewing. Bring a blanket and a picnic for a great family outing! Freedom Fest๏ปฟ at Pax Base July 4th; Free
Come out to the West Basin Marina and join Community Rec as we kick off the evening with an Independence Day Celebration at our Freedom Fest! We will have music, games, inflatables, and water inflatables! We will also have arts and crafts, tattoos and more! We will also have food, drinks and glow sticks available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or towel and have a front row seat to enjoy the fireworks from the Patuxent River!

St. Mary's College River Concert Series A Super Celebration + Fireworks July 5th: Free
7-9 pm. Free. Grounds open at 5 p.m. Featuring soundtrack favorites: Star Wars, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lincoln, plus Sousa and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
